“Paques” collects pictures of bundles of wheat straw collected, stacked and stored in the field.

The constructions and stacks are those made in situ by the farmers themselves and their appearance is completely spontaneous. Photographs are taken at the beginning of summer in the wheat harvesting season, and the stacks of bales are temporary, until their transportation and storage. Sometimes chance, the passage of time, oblivion, or climatology produce collapses or modifications of the stacks, as well as the process of disassembly itself modifies and influences its appearance.

The photographs also try to collect the different states of the material itself, from the newly collected to the long abandoned in the margins of the crops until their own deterioration and disappearance.
